Questions
How far back can you go?
As far back as your statements go. If your bank's online history doesn't reach that far, the bank can send older statements, and we tell you exactly which months to ask for.
I lost a lot of receipts. Is that a problem?
It slows things down; it doesn't stop them. Your bank and card statements show every transaction. Where a receipt is missing we mark it on a list, and your CPA decides how to treat it.
A tax deadline is coming. Can you finish in time?
Tell us the date on the first call. The quote gives a finish date, and if it can't land before your deadline we say so plainly. Whether to ask for more time to file is a question for your CPA, not for us.
My last bookkeeper made a mess. Can you fix it?
Yes. Duplicate entries, personal charges mixed into the business books, loans recorded as sales, transfers counted twice: we find them and correct them in the records. You get a list of every correction, so your CPA can see what changed and why.
Do I have to sign up for monthly bookkeeping afterward?
No. The cleanup is a one-time project and stands on its own. If you'd rather not fall behind again, monthly bookkeeping can pick up the next month, but that's your call.
