AI receptionist in El Paso
An AI receptionist set up for your El Paso business: it answers the calls and chats you miss, in English and Spanish, books the appointment and sends you the details. It answers; it never calls out.

At a glance
- What: an AI assistant set up for your business that answers inbound calls and website chats, nights and weekends included.
- Languages: English and Spanish, each with the answers you approved.
- Inbound only: it answers calls and never places them. Rodco does not sell outbound AI calling (FCC Declaratory Ruling 24-17).
- Yours: the phone number, the texting registration, the contacts and the call history are in your business's name.
- How to start: tell us how calls reach you today and get a free sample of the script and a fixed written quote, with no obligation.
The problem it solves
The phone rings while you are on a roof in the Northeast, under a car on Alameda or with a client in the chair. It goes to voicemail, and the caller tries the next number on the list. An AI receptionist picks up those calls for you, in English or Spanish, and hands you the lead.
The calls you miss are the busy-season calls
In El Paso the busiest weeks for a lot of trades are the hottest ones. The National Weather Service has recorded 100°F days here as early as May 7 and as late as September 27. Those are the afternoons when an HVAC crew is on a roof and the office line is ringing with no one free to answer it.
Language is the other gap. About 63% of El Paso residents age 5 and up speak Spanish at home, and roughly 155,000 of them speak English less than very well. An after-hours recording in English only leaves many of those callers with nowhere to go.
What the assistant does on a call
It answers with your business name, asks the questions you would ask, and does one of three things: books the appointment, puts the caller through to you, or takes the details and texts you a summary. It works from the answers you approved. When a question goes beyond them, it takes a message instead of guessing.
What it will never do
Call people. In February 2024 the FCC ruled that AI-generated voices are artificial voices under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so outbound calls made with them need the person’s prior consent. Rodco builds answering, not dialing. Follow-up after a call goes by text, only to customers who opted in, under a texting registration filed in your business’s name.
What’s included
- A free sample of the script.
- The greeting, the questions it asks and the answers it gives, written for your business in English and Spanish, before you pay anything.
- Answers that come from you.
- Your hours, the parts of town you cover, what you do and what you don't, and any prices you choose to share. It is set up to answer from what you approved and to take a message when a question goes past it.
- Rules for when a person takes over.
- Transfer to your cell during the hours you choose, a message and a summary outside them, and an urgent-word rule for emergencies.
- Booking into your calendar.
- Open times only, set in Mountain Time, with a confirmation to the customer and a notice to you.
- The same answers in your website chat.
- The chat bubble on your site uses the script the phone uses, so a customer gets one answer whichever way they ask.
- A lead summary after every call.
- Name, number, what they need and how urgent, by text and email, so you can call back from the job site.
- Everything in your business's name.
- The phone number, the A2P 10DLC texting registration, the contacts and the call history. If you stop the service, they stay yours.
How it works
The same order every time: nothing is built, and nothing is paid, until you have seen your sample and the written quote.
Tell us how your calls go today
Which number customers call, when you miss them, which questions repeat and what a good call ends with: a booking, a quote visit or a message.
Your free sample
The full script in English and Spanish and a map of what happens on each kind of call, with a fixed written quote beside it. Free, with no obligation.
You approve, we build and test
We set up the line in your business's name, file the texting registration, load your answers and calendar, and test real calls in both languages before any customer hears it. Carriers review the texting registration on their own schedule, and we tell you when it clears.
Training
How to read call summaries, change an answer, adjust the hours and turn the transfer rule on or off.
The first 30 days
We listen to a sample of real calls with you, fix the answers that missed and add the questions nobody predicted.
As little as 48 hours of lead time covers most projects. Larger sites, online stores and sites with booking or ordering systems get their own dated timeline in the written quote.
How pricing works
Every business needs a different set of pieces, so every quote is written for yours. You see your free sample and a fixed written quote before you pay anything. Here is how a quote works.
- Agency-quality work at small-business prices, quoted in writing before anything starts.
- A fixed written quote. No surprise invoices.
- You can own your website instead of renting it: no monthly website fee, with the domain, files and accounts in your name.
- Pay for the services you actually need. Every package is built à la carte.
Questions
Will callers know they are talking to an AI?
They should, and we recommend the greeting says so in the first sentence: an automated assistant for your business, ready to book, take a message or put them through. People take that better than finding out halfway through the call. After the greeting it speaks in a natural voice and works from the answers you approved.
What happens when a caller needs a real person?
You decide the rules. During the hours you pick, it can transfer the call to your cell or the front desk. Outside them, it takes the caller's name, number and what they need and sends you a text and an email with the summary. A caller who says the word you mark as urgent, like a leak or no air conditioning, can be put through at any hour.
Can it book appointments?
Yes. It offers open times from your calendar, books the one the caller picks and sends a confirmation. Hours are set in Mountain Time, the clock El Paso and Ciudad Juárez share, so a booking never lands an hour off. If you would rather confirm each job yourself, it takes the request and you approve it.
Can it call customers back or make sales calls for us?
No. The setup only answers. In February 2024 the FCC ruled (Declaratory Ruling FCC 24-17) that AI-generated voices count as artificial voices under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so a call placed with one needs the person's prior consent. Rodco does not sell outbound AI calling. Follow-up after a call goes by text, and only to customers who opted in, through a texting registration filed under your business.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. The number on your truck, your cards and your Google profile stays. Calls you do not pick up, or calls after hours, forward to the assistant. The line it answers on is registered to your business, and so is the texting registration, so none of it is tied to Rodco.
Can a business in Ciudad Juárez use it?
Yes, for website chats and for calls to a US number. Texting US customers needs an A2P 10DLC registration, which a Mexican business files as a foreign brand with its RFC. 10DLC covers US numbers only, so for customers with a +52 number the follow-up runs on WhatsApp, which needs its own opt-in.
How much does an AI receptionist cost?
It is quoted for your setup, because the setup depends on how many lines, how many languages and what the assistant has to do. The written quote lists the setup and every monthly cost, including the number, call minutes and texts, before anything starts.
