- Live in as little as 48 hours
- English and Spanish
- You own your site, domain and accounts

At a glance
- For boutiques, shoe stores, furniture and appliance stores, gift shops, groceries and abarrotes in El Paso, Las Cruces and Ciudad Juárez.
- Rodco Systems builds a store site that answers the three questions a shopper has before driving over, keeps your Google hours honest and shows what you carry.
- Every page exists in English and in Spanish, written by people who shop on both sides of the river.
- Based in El Paso, Texas. We meet in person in El Paso and Las Cruces and work remotely with Juárez stores.
- Ask by form, phone, WhatsApp or email. A free sample of your home page is ready in one business day, the quote is fixed and in writing, and the domain, site and accounts are yours.
How customers choose
A store wins or loses the visit before the shopper starts the car. They search, check the stars, look at the hours, scan a photo or two and decide whether you have what they need. Retail website design for a store with a front door is about that moment: hours Google trusts, a page that says what’s on the shelves, and directions that make sense from where the shopper is standing, which on this border might be the other side of a bridge. Rodco Systems builds retail websites for stores in El Paso, Las Cruces and Juárez, in English and Spanish, at prices below most local competitors.
What does a shopper check before driving over?
Three things, almost always in this order: are you open, do you carry it, and how do I get there. The first answer lives on your Google Business Profile and has to match your site exactly. Google shows a warning on a profile that has no special hours for a listed holiday, telling people your hours might differ. That warning sends a shopper to the store down the street that bothered to fill in Christmas Eve.
The second answer is where most store sites fail. A gallery of nice photos doesn’t tell anyone whether you stock steel-toe boots in a 12 wide. Category pages written in plain text do: the brands you carry, the sizes you keep, the price range, and a line like “call to check today’s stock.” If your register scans barcodes, Google can also list your in-store products on Search and Maps for free through free local listings. We check whether your POS qualifies.
The third answer is directions. In El Paso that means your side of town and your cross street. For a store near the bridges, it means how far you are from Paso del Norte or Stanton on foot.
Who walks in from across the river?
About 28.8 million people entered the U.S. through El Paso’s three Texas ports in 2025, and 7.6 million of them walked. A real share of downtown and Eastside retail depends on those shoppers, and they read Spanish first. The Spanish page needs the same products, the same hours and the same prices as the English one, with WhatsApp next to the phone number.
Traffic runs south too. In the last quarter of 2019, U.S. residents spent about $25.8 million on groceries in Juárez, according to the cross-border survey published in Estudios Fronterizos. A Juárez abarrotes store or boutique that wants those shoppers needs an English page, peso prices with a dollar reference, and the bridge that gets them there fastest.
What does the page look like? An illustrative wireframe
Picture a phone screen. Your store name, “Open today until 8 p.m.” and three buttons: Call, WhatsApp and Directions. Below that, five category tiles with what each one carries in a sentence. Then this month’s banner (tax-free weekend, back to school or Día de las Madres), your address with the side of town and the nearest bridge, parking, and a reviews line that links to Google. The Spanish page is the same layout in Spanish.
That is an illustrative wireframe, not a client’s site. Your categories and your street go in.
Which weeks move a store’s year?
The Texas sales tax holiday is the big one for clothing, shoes and school supplies: most items under $100 are tax-free, online sellers doing business in Texas included, and in 2027 it runs August 6 to 8. Mother’s Day falls on May 10 in Mexico and on the second Sunday of May in the U.S., so a border store gets two of them. Then come El Buen Fin in November, Black Friday right after it, and December. We build the seasonal banner so you can change it in a couple of minutes, and post the same news on your Business Profile the week before.

Must-have features
Open-now hours that match Google, holidays included.
Google warns shoppers when holiday hours are missing. The site and the profile get the same hours from one list, so the sign on the door, the map and the page agree.
Category pages that say what you carry.
Brands, sizes, styles and price range in plain text, so a search for quinceañera shoes or jeans in a 38 waist finds a page instead of a photo carousel.
Directions by side of town and by bridge.
Cross street, parking and the nearest bus stop for local shoppers; the nearest bridge and the walk or drive from it for shoppers coming from Juárez.
A Spanish page that reads like your counter.
82.8% of El Paso County is Hispanic or Latino, and walk-in traffic from Juárez is part of the day. The Spanish page carries the same products and the same hours.
Call, WhatsApp and directions buttons on every page.
Most store questions are one line long: do you have it, are you open, can you hold it until five.
A seasonal block you change in minutes.
Tax-free weekend, back to school, Día de las Madres, Black Friday and El Buen Fin each need a banner and a Business Profile post the week before.
In-store products on Google when your POS allows it.
Free local listings show your stock on Search and Maps at no charge when your register scans barcodes.

Region notes
El Paso
El Paso County had 2,116 retail establishments and about 38,600 retail jobs in 2025 (BLS). The mountain splits the city, so a store page names its side of town and the corridor shoppers drive: Mesa on the Westside, Dyer in the Northeast, Montana and Zaragoza on the Eastside, Alameda in the Lower Valley. Stores near Paso del Norte, Stanton and Zaragoza also serve shoppers who crossed that morning, 7.6 million of whom walked over in 2025. Plan the tax-free weekend in early August and the back-to-school rush around it.
Southern New Mexico
Doña Ana County had 550 retail establishments and about 8,300 retail jobs in 2025 (BLS). Las Cruces stores draw NMSU students and shoppers from Mesilla, Hatch and Anthony, so the page should say how far you are from Lohman, El Paseo or Main Street, and whether you take returns from the El Paso location if you have one. If you add New Mexico gross receipts tax to the price, show it as its own line on the receipt.
Ciudad Juárez
INEGI lists 18,373 retail establishments in Juárez. 5,391 are abarrotes and misceláneas, and 6 of those list a website, so a corner store with a Google profile, a WhatsApp button and a one-page site is already ahead of the street. Prices go in pesos with taxes included, dollars as a reference beside them. Shoppers from El Paso spent about $25.8 million on groceries in Juárez in one 2019 quarter, so an English page and a note on which bridge is closest earn their place.

Questions
My store doesn't sell online. Do I still need a website?
Yes, because the decision to drive over happens online. Shoppers check whether you're open, whether you carry the thing and how to get there. Your Google Business Profile answers part of that; your site answers the rest, and it's the page Google and AI assistants read when someone asks who sells work boots on the Eastside. A store site with no checkout is a normal, useful build.
Can Google show what's on my shelves?
If your store is in the U.S. and your point-of-sale system scans UPC or EAN barcodes, Google can list your in-store products for free on Search and Maps through free local listings, including the "See what's in store" panel. It needs a verified Business Profile and a Merchant Center account. We check whether your POS qualifies and set up the connection if it does.
Why does Google say my hours "might differ" on holidays?
Google shows that warning when a listed holiday comes up and the profile has no special hours for it. Set them ahead of time, closed or open, and the warning goes away. We put the year's holiday hours in when we set up your profile, including the ones that matter here, like Día de las Madres on May 10.
Does the Texas tax-free weekend apply to my online sales?
It can. The Comptroller says qualifying clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks under $100 are tax-free from a Texas store or from an online or catalog seller doing business in Texas, and layaway counts. The 2027 holiday runs August 6 to 8. Put it on your site and your Business Profile a couple of weeks before.
My store is in Juárez. Can I show prices in dollars?
Alongside pesos, yes. Mexican consumer law says prices are shown in pesos, with taxes and every other charge included in the total, and another currency may be added. Pesos first, dollars as a reference, is the safe layout for a store that serves shoppers from El Paso.
Do you build online stores?
This page is about getting people through the door. If you already sell through an online store or a marketplace, we link it from every product category and from your Business Profile. A new online store gets its own scoped quote.
How do I get more customers into my store?
Make the visit an easy decision from the phone. Keep Google hours exact, holidays included, post photos of the shelves and new arrivals, and give each main category a page so a search for what you carry finds you. Ask shoppers for reviews at the register. On this border, directions from the bridges and prices stated the way each country's law allows bring in cross-border shoppers.
