How customers choose

Cleaning is bought on trust and sold on convenience. Cleaning business website design has to deliver both: a clear picture of who comes to the house and what they do, and a way to book the next visit without a phone call. For commercial work, the same site needs a second path that reads like a proposal. Rodco Systems builds cleaning business websites in El Paso and Las Cruces, in English and Spanish, at prices below most local competitors, and you own the site.

How do customers choose a cleaning company here?

Homeowners search, read reviews and look for three things: what a clean includes, roughly what it costs, and whether they can trust the crew in their house. Businesses search too, but then they ask for a walk-through, a written scope and proof of insurance. Those are two different buyers, and a site with one generic “Services” page loses both.

The field is crowded. El Paso County had 102 janitorial businesses with employees in 2025, averaging 2,227 jobs, and that count leaves out owner-operators without payroll. Standing out comes down to specifics: the checklist, the photos of your team, the reviews that name the service and the neighborhood.

What does your site have to do?

For homes, book. A visitor picks the type of clean (standard, deep, move-out), sees what’s included, and books a first visit or a recurring one. With our CRM and automation service, recurring visits sit on your calendar, the customer gets a reminder text the day before, and invoices go out with text-to-pay.

For businesses, quote. The commercial page lists the kinds of sites you clean (offices, clinics, stores, new construction), your shifts and your insurance, and ends in a walk-through request. A request that arrives with the address, square footage and how often they want service is one you can answer the same day.

Either way, calls come in while your crews are working. A missed-call text back, or our AI receptionist answering from your own information, keeps the lead warm until you can call back.

What about “bonded and insured”?

Say what you actually carry. “Bonded and insured” is the most common phrase on cleaning sites and one of the least specific. A line that names your general liability coverage and, if you have one, the bond and what it covers, answers the question a property manager is about to email you. Google’s Local Services Ads ask house cleaners for liability insurance and state licenses where they apply, with background checks for select users; if you’ve qualified, that’s worth saying too.

Sales tax belongs on the list. The Texas Comptroller treats cleaning a home or an office as a taxable service, with a narrow exception for a household’s own employee. Your quotes and invoices should handle it consistently, and the site’s terms should match.

What does the page look like? An illustrative wireframe

On a phone: your name, “House and office cleaning in El Paso” and two buttons, Book a cleaning and Get a business quote. Under that, three cards for standard, deep and move-out cleaning with what each includes. Then your team’s photos, your insurance in one sentence, reviews from Google, and a short section for offices and property managers with the walk-through form. The Spanish page carries the same order, written in Spanish.

That is an illustrative wireframe, not a client’s site. Your services, your crew and your coverage go in.

What your site must do

  1. Quote request
  2. Online booking

Must-have features

  1. Two front doors: home and business.

Residential visitors go to standard, deep, move-out and recurring cleaning. Commercial visitors go to offices, clinics, retail and post-construction, with a walk-through request.

  2. Online booking for recurring visits.

Weekly, biweekly or monthly, with a reminder text before each visit and rescheduling from the customer's phone, through our CRM and automation service.

  3. What a standard clean includes, room by room.

A checklist answers the question every new customer asks and heads off the 'I thought that was included' call.

  4. Insurance and bonding stated specifically.

Name the coverage you actually carry instead of a generic badge. Property managers and homeowners both look for it before they let a crew in.

  5. Who comes to the house.

First names, photos and how long they've been with you, if your team agrees. Trust is the purchase in residential cleaning.

  6. Missed-call text back and an after-hours answer.

Calls come in while crews are working. A text back right away, or our AI receptionist answering from your own information, keeps the lead.

  7. Reviews that mention the details.

A steady flow of Google reviews that name the service and the part of town. Our review management service asks after each visit.

  8. A commercial page that reads like a proposal.

Scope, frequency, shifts, insurance certificate on request and, in Juárez, the REPSE registration.

Region notes

El Paso

El Paso County had 102 janitorial businesses with employees in 2025, averaging 2,227 jobs, which makes cleaning one of the larger service trades in the county and a crowded search. The ones that get found split home and commercial work, show what a clean includes and say exactly what insurance they carry. Name the parts of town you cover (Westside, Northeast, Eastside, Horizon City, the Lower Valley) on the site and in your Google service areas, and make sure your quotes handle Texas sales tax the way the Comptroller describes.

Southern New Mexico

Doña Ana County had 43 janitorial businesses with employees in 2025, averaging 457 jobs. Las Cruces work can mix homes, rentals near NMSU and offices. A move-out page aimed at landlords and property managers, with before-and-after photos and a fast quote form, gives the rental side its own door. New Mexico gross receipts tax replaces Texas sales tax on that side of the line, so keep separate templates.

Ciudad Juárez

INEGI lists 9 building cleaning companies in Ciudad Juárez, 4 with a website. Commercial cleaning for maquiladoras is a contract sale, and a cleaning company that provides it as a specialized-services contractor needs its REPSE registration with the Secretaría del Trabajo, renewed every three years. Expect purchasing to ask for it, so the Spanish page should show it along with shifts, plant areas covered, a contact for purchasing and quotes in pesos.

Questions

Should my cleaning website say "bonded and insured"?

Only if both are true, and it's better to say exactly what you carry: general liability insurance with the carrier's name, and a bond if you have one, with what it covers. Homeowners letting a crew into their house and property managers signing a contract both ask. Vague badges invite the follow-up question; specifics answer it.

Do I charge sales tax on house cleaning in Texas?

Generally yes. The Texas Comptroller treats cleaning and janitorial services as taxable, including cleaning a home, an office or other building and washing windows, floors and walls. The exception is a self-employed person who is the household's own employee doing traditional household work. Your quote and invoice should handle tax the same way; confirm your setup with the Comptroller or your tax preparer.

Can customers book a recurring cleaning online?

Yes. Our CRM and automation service sets up booking with weekly, biweekly or monthly visits, a reminder text before each one, and estimates and invoices with text-to-pay. Reschedules happen on the customer's phone instead of in your voicemail.

Why separate pages for residential and commercial cleaning?

Because they're different sales. A homeowner wants to know the price range, what a standard clean includes, who will come and how to book. An office or property manager wants a walk-through, a written scope, proof of insurance and a contract. One page trying to do both does neither well, and Google ranks them for different searches.

Can I show Google Local Services Ads badges on my site?

If you qualify. For house cleaning, Google's U.S. Local Services Ads ask for general and professional liability insurance, state licenses where they apply and background checks for select users. If you pass, mention it plainly; if you haven't applied, leave it off. We can set up the ads as part of our Google Ads management.

I clean for maquiladoras in Juárez. What should the page show?

Your REPSE registration with the Secretaría del Trabajo, if you provide the service as a specialized-services contractor. Mexican labor law requires it, and it is renewed every three years, so expect purchasing departments to ask for it. Add your shifts, the plant areas you cover and a contact for the purchasing team.

How do I get more clients for my cleaning business?

Give people a reason to trust a stranger in their home, then make the next visit easy to book. Show who cleans, what a standard and a deep clean include, and your insurance details as they actually are; ask for a review after each first visit; and offer recurring booking online. For offices in El Paso and Las Cruces, a commercial page with a walkthrough request does the selling that a flyer can't.
