AI search optimization in El Paso
AI search optimization for El Paso businesses: making sure ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google's AI Overviews can read your site, get your facts right and cite you, in English and Spanish.

At a glance
- Who: Rodco Systems, based in El Paso, Texas, setting up local businesses to be read and cited by AI assistants, in English and Spanish.
- What: crawler access, pages written to be quoted, the same facts everywhere your business is listed, and a monthly check of what the assistants say about you.
- Which assistants: ChatGPT, Google Gemini and AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot.
- What it is not: a promise of being recommended. Nobody controls what an assistant answers.
- How to start: tell us the questions your customers ask. You get a fixed written quote, and every account stays in your name.
The problem it solves
More customers now ask an assistant instead of scrolling a list. “Who installs mini-splits in East El Paso and speaks Spanish?” “Which lawyer in Las Cruces handles an LLC for someone from Juárez?” The assistant reads the web, picks a few businesses and names them. If it cannot reach your site, or your hours say one thing on Google and another on Facebook, it names someone else.
AI search optimization is the work of being one of the businesses an assistant can read and quote with confidence.
What the AI companies say
The rules are public, and they are plainer than the hype. Google says there are no additional requirements and no special optimizations needed to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode: a page has to be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet, the same as regular search. OpenAI says sites that opt out of its search crawler, OAI-SearchBot, will not be shown in ChatGPT search answers. Perplexity asks site owners to allow PerplexityBot for the same reason.
That makes the first question a technical one. Some hosts and firewalls now block AI crawlers by default; Cloudflare announced that change in July 2025. Plenty of small business sites block the crawlers they need without knowing it.
What gets a local business skipped
A site that never says, in a sentence, what the business does and where. Hours and phone numbers that disagree between the site, Google and Facebook. Services listed only inside a PDF or an image. No Spanish, when the question was asked in Spanish. And no mentions anywhere except your own site.
This site is the example
We built this site the way we set up yours. Every page is plain HTML that any crawler can read. Each English page has a Spanish twin written in Spanish, linked so search engines know which is which. The business facts come from one file that feeds every page and the structured data, so they cannot drift apart. FAQ answers lead with the answer. And the robots.txt welcomes search engines and AI assistants by name. Read the page source if you want; nothing here is hidden behind a script.
What’s included
- A crawler access check.
- Your robots.txt, your firewall and your host, checked for blocks on OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Googlebot and Bingbot, and opened for the ones you choose. Search crawlers and training crawlers are separate, and you decide on each.
- Content a crawler can read.
- Your services, hours and service area in the page's HTML, not hidden inside images, PDFs or scripts that some crawlers never run.
- Answer-first pages.
- Each question your customers ask gets a direct one- or two-sentence answer, then the detail. That is the passage an assistant can lift and cite.
- The same facts everywhere.
- Business name, phone, address, service area and description identical on your site, Google, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, Facebook and the directories assistants read.
- Structured data.
- Markup for your business, services and FAQs, generated from the facts on the page so the two never disagree.
- Bing Webmaster Tools.
- Your site submitted and verified, with the sitemap in, next to Google Search Console. Both accounts in your name.
- A monthly check of the answers.
- A fixed list of customer questions asked in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, in English and Spanish, with what each one said about you written down.
How it works
The same order every time: nothing is built, and nothing is paid, until you have seen your sample and the written quote.
Tell us about your business
What you sell, where, and the questions customers ask before they call. A person reads it and replies the way you chose.
What the assistants say today
We ask the assistants your customers' questions, check whether their crawlers can reach your site, and compare your facts across the web. You get the findings and a fixed written quote.
You approve
Say yes to the quote and share access to the site, your hosting and your listings from your own accounts.
Access, facts and pages
Crawler access first, then the listings cleaned up, structured data and answer-first rewrites of the pages that matter. The first check of the answers comes with the first report.
The monthly check
The same questions asked again, what changed written down, and the next pages and listings to work on.
As little as 48 hours of lead time covers most projects. Larger sites, online stores and sites with booking or ordering systems get their own dated timeline in the written quote.
How pricing works
Every business needs a different set of pieces, so every quote is written for yours. You see your free sample and a fixed written quote before you pay anything. Here is how a quote works.
- Agency-quality work at small-business prices, quoted in writing before anything starts.
- A fixed written quote. No surprise invoices.
- You can own your website instead of renting it: no monthly website fee, with the domain, files and accounts in your name.
- Pay for the services you actually need. Every package is built à la carte.
Questions
What is AI search optimization?
It is the work of making your business easy for AI assistants to find, understand and cite. Some call it generative engine optimization, or GEO. In practice it is SEO plus three things: letting the right crawlers in, writing pages that answer questions directly, and keeping your business facts identical across the web.
Can you get ChatGPT to recommend my business?
No one can promise that. Answers change from one person to the next and from one week to the next, and no company sells a placement. What we can do is remove the reasons an assistant skips you: a blocked crawler, facts that disagree, a site that never states what you do and where. Then we check every month and show you what the assistants said.
Is this different from regular SEO?
Mostly it is the same foundation. Google says there are no additional requirements and no special optimizations needed to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode: the page has to be indexed and eligible for a snippet. The extra work is for the other assistants: their own crawlers, their own sources, and directories where they look for local businesses.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
It does not hurt, and we add one when the site can take it. But Google says you do not need new machine-readable or AI text files for its AI features, and none of the big AI search products has said it uses llms.txt to choose what to cite. We treat it as a bonus, not the strategy.
Does this work in Spanish?
Yes, as long as there is Spanish to quote. If someone asks an assistant in Spanish for a dentist in Juárez who also sees patients from El Paso, and your site only has English, the assistant has nothing of yours in Spanish to work with. Spanish pages, written in Spanish, fix that.
How do you measure it?
Two ways. Every month we ask the assistants a fixed list of the questions your customers ask, in English and Spanish, and record whether you appear and what they say about you. And visits that arrive from an assistant show up in your analytics when the assistant passes the link along, so you can see the traffic in your own account.
How do I show up in Google AI Overviews?
There is no separate form or tag for it. Google says a page must be indexed and eligible to show a snippet in regular search to appear as a link in AI Overviews, so the groundwork is the same as SEO: a page Google can crawl, that answers the question plainly, with your name, hours and service area matching your Google Business Profile. We check each of those for your El Paso business; nobody can promise a mention.
