How customers choose
People hire a landscaper after they’ve seen a yard they like. Landscaping website design puts that yard in front of them: your own before-and-after photos, a clear list of what you do, and a quote form that takes the address and a few phone pictures. In El Paso and Las Cruces, it also gets the water rules right, because customers here know them. Rodco Systems builds landscaping websites in El Paso and Las Cruces, in English and Spanish, with your own photos up front and a quote form that takes pictures.
How do customers pick a landscaper here?
By the photos, then by the answer they get. Someone tired of a brown lawn and a high water bill searches, scrolls through two or three galleries and asks for quotes from the ones whose work looks like what they want. Whoever replies first with a real number tends to get the visit.
That makes the gallery the most important page on the site, and it has to be yours. Grass to gravel and native plants, a broken drip line to a working one, a dirt lot to a patio. Stock photos of green lawns in another climate tell a desert homeowner you don’t work here.
What does your site have to do?
Get a quote request you can price. The form asks for the address, what they want done, the rough size of the yard and two or three photos from their phone. With that, a lot of small jobs can be priced without a drive, and you can tell which design jobs deserve the visit.
Then make the recurring work easy. Monthly or biweekly maintenance customers should be able to book and reschedule without calling. Our CRM and automation service handles the booking and the reminder text the day before, and when you miss a call because you’re running a trencher, the caller gets a text back right away instead of calling the next landscaper on Google.
What do the water rules mean for your page?
They are content, and good content. In El Paso and Las Cruces, residential watering is off on Mondays, even and odd addresses get alternating days, and from April 1 to September 30 sprinklers run only before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. A homeowner converting to xeriscape wants to hear that you set controllers to that schedule.
El Paso Water’s current rebates are worth naming correctly: $75 for a WaterSense-labeled smart controller, up to $1,000 for rainwater harvesting and up to $250 for laundry-to-landscape. There’s no turf-removal rebate on the list today. A page that says so is more believable than one that hints at money that isn’t there.
If you install or repair irrigation in Texas, the licensed irrigator’s “LI” number goes on every ad, in any media. We put it in the footer of every page and on the irrigation service page.
What does the page look like? An illustrative wireframe
On a phone: your company name, a line like “Xeriscape and irrigation, Westside and Upper Valley”, and two buttons, Get a quote and Call. Then a swipeable before-and-after gallery, four service tiles (xeriscape, irrigation, maintenance, trees and shrubs), a short plant list with photos, your reviews, the watering schedule in a small box and the quote form with a photo upload. The Spanish page carries the same order, written in Spanish.
That is an illustrative wireframe, not a client’s site. Your photos, your service area and your license go in.

Region notes
El Paso
El Paso County had 91 landscaping businesses with employees in 2025, averaging 902 jobs, so customers have choices and compare photos. The water rules shape the work: no residential watering on Mondays, and summer watering only before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. El Paso Water's current rebates pay for smart controllers ($75), rainwater systems (up to $1,000) and laundry-to-landscape (up to $250), and none for removing turf. If you install irrigation, your "LI" license number goes on every ad, the website included.
Southern New Mexico
Las Cruces runs the same watering pattern as El Paso, and its Water Conservation Program teaches free Water Wise Landscaping workshops each spring and fall. A page that builds on what those workshops teach reads as the next step, not a sales pitch. Doña Ana County had 36 landscaping businesses with employees in 2025. Sprinkler work on a potable line needs the MM-1 classification from New Mexico's CID.
Ciudad Juárez
In Juárez the search is for "jardinería" or "jardinero", and the easiest first step for a customer is sending photos of the patio by WhatsApp. A Spanish page with a gallery, a WhatsApp button and prices in pesos makes that step easy. Our research didn't verify Juárez watering rules, so we leave them off your page rather than guess. For El Paso customers on a Juárez crew, the English page says plainly which side of the border you work on.

Questions
Does El Paso Water pay homeowners to take out their grass?
Not on its current rebate list. El Paso Water pays $75 for a WaterSense-labeled smart irrigation controller, up to $1,000 for a rainwater collection system and up to $250 for a laundry-to-landscape system, each applied for within 60 days of purchase. A xeriscape page that mentions those three, and doesn't promise a turf rebate, earns trust.
Which watering days should my website mention?
In El Paso and Las Cruces the schedule is the same pattern: no residential watering on Mondays, even-numbered addresses on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, odd-numbered on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and from April 1 to September 30 only before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. If you program controllers, say so and say you set them to the schedule.
Do I have to show a license number on my landscaping website?
If you advertise irrigation work in Texas, yes. 30 TAC § 344.70 says every form of advertising for irrigation services, in any media, must show the licensed irrigator's number as "LI" followed by the number. Lawn mowing and planting alone don't fall under that rule. In New Mexico, sprinkler systems on a drinking-water line fall under the CID's MM-1 plumbing classification.
What should a landscaping quote form ask for?
The address, what the customer wants (cleanup, xeriscape conversion, irrigation repair, regular maintenance), the rough size of the yard and two or three photos taken on their phone. Photos cut a site visit out of many small jobs and tell you which visits are worth the drive.
Should I list prices for mowing or maintenance plans?
For recurring maintenance, a starting price or a clear "from" range helps people self-select. For design and conversion work, explain what drives the price (square footage, rock and plant choices, irrigation) and quote after the photos or the visit.
Can customers book a recurring maintenance visit online?
Yes. Our CRM and automation service sets up booking and reminders, so a monthly or biweekly visit lands on your calendar and the customer gets a text the day before. Missed calls get a text back, which matters when you're on a mower and can't pick up.
How do I get more customers for my landscaping or lawn care business?
Show yards, not promises. Post before-and-after photos of your own jobs on the site and on Google, give lawn care, xeriscape and irrigation their own pages, and let people send yard photos with the quote request. Ask each happy customer for a review with a photo. Customers in El Paso and Las Cruces ask about turf rebates and watering days, so stating those rules correctly builds trust before the first visit.
